Crypto & Blockchain

The blockchains, stablecoins, wallets, and token standards Decal supports for accepting digital-dollar payments.

Decal offers stablecoin payments that allow merchants accept blockchain-based payments directly at their point of sale. Customers pay in digital dollars (stablecoins or crypto currency), merchants settle in digital dollars, and Decal covers the network fees. This page is the technical reference for the crypto Decal supports: the blockchains, the stablecoins, the wallets, and the token standards underneath them.

You don't need to understand any of it to integrate — the API and checkout abstract it away. It's here for teams who want to verify exactly what their payments touch on-chain.

Supported blockchains

Today, every Decal payment settles on Solana. We chose Solana for its sub-second confirmation, sub-cent network fees, and deep stablecoin liquidity. Decal sponsors those network fees, so neither customers nor merchants ever need to hold SOL to transact.

Support for additional blockchains is on our roadmap. As Decal expands to new networks, the dollars-in, dollars-out experience stays identical — your integration won't change, and the stablecoins below will be joined by their equivalents on other chains.

Solana is the only supported network today. This page will be updated as additional blockchains become available.

Stablecoins

Decal currently supports six Solana-native, USD-backed stablecoins. Every one is treated as a 1:1 digital dollar — there is no per-token peg adjustment. A balance of USDC and a balance of PYUSD are interchangeable dollars as far as Decal is concerned.

Mint addresses are on Solana mainnet. Tokens outside this list — including SOL itself and any other SPL token a wallet may hold — are not counted as spendable balance and are never used to fund a payment. They remain untouched in the customer's wallet.

Token standards

All six stablecoins are SPL tokens, but they split across two programs (smart contracts). Decal supports both transparently:

  • SPL Token — the original Solana token program (USDC, USDT, USDS).
  • Token-2022 (Token Extensions) — the newer program that adds capabilities like transfer hooks and confidential transfers (PYUSD, USDG, CASH).

Supporting Token-2022 is what lets Decal accept newer issuer-backed stablecoins like PayPal USD, Global Dollar, and Phantom Cash alongside the originals. Your integration never has to know which program a given stablecoin uses — Decal resolves it automatically.

Wallets

Customers can pay from a Solana wallet they control. Decal supports any web or mobile wallet that implements the Wallet Standard, including:

The Solana blockchain ecosystem follow the Wallet Standard, an open specification that wallets implement to expose a common connection interface. Any compliant wallet works with Decal automatically — even if it isn't named above.

Connected wallets contribute their stablecoin balances to the customer's spendable Smart Balance, and Decal's Smart Payments automatically determines the optimal tokens, from which wallets, to fund each payment.

Roadmap & requests

Everything on this page reflects what Decal supports today. We're actively expanding the stablecoins, cryptocurrencies, wallets, and blockchains Decal supports.

If you or your customers need a specific token, wallet, or network that isn't listed here, email the Decal team. We'll talk through your use case and can prioritize support for it on our roadmap.
